After the fantastic achievements of last season the boys have had to deal with some big changes this year and they’ve looked more and more comfortable and confident as the games have passed. From 7 - a- side to 9 - a -side, Astro pitches to grass, bigger goals and of course the offside rule. But from the back to the front the lads have all kicked on and took to it really well. Their standards have improved and so has their ability to play more progressive football with the larger pitches. As a team we like to play with the ball to feet and to break through the lines with our pattern play build up. Our most important task is to improve our consistency and to build our confidence regardless of the score line. We’ve had an amazing season finishing runners up in two leagues and qualifying for finals day.
None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support we get from our parents. Whether it be climbing Snowdon to fundraise for all the fantastic experiences we are giving the boys, like Butlins tournament or playing a tournament in a premier league stadium, or just attending every game wearing matching Corpus hoodies and waving the custom - made RANGERS flag screaming their support. We are a family team. This is their team and we thank them for everything they do.
As a team we strive to provide the best examples for others, trying always to be respectful and supportive to each other. Both coaches will always put the lad’s happiness and enjoyment before results. Win or lose, the most important thing to us is to make sure everyone walks off the pitch with a smile on their face. We will continue to do our best to not only improve our performances, but to continue to try and make each player happy.
